Dr. Kurt W. Harris
Dr. Kurt W. Harris graduated from Texas Tech University in 1982 with a degree in Animal Science. He then received his doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M in 1986. Kurt spent the last 30 years involved in all aspects of equine medicine and surgery. During these years he has worked with many of the leading equine practitioners in Texas. He also has developed lifelong friendships with many great horse professionals in the equine industry. He has been blessed to have top show horses in the areas of cutting, working cow horses, reining and roping. It was his love for the equine athlete that gave him a desire to apply his 30 years of experience in veterinary medicine into developing and managing S.E.R.F.
My passion for horses is what motivates me to oversee the best quality care for the horses at our facility. My love for horses began at an early age as I have ridden horses my entire life and continue to do so today. I am delighted to start this new business adventure and am looking forward to growing as a person as well as the success of our business.
SERF has state of the art equipment that can accommodate a variety of needs. Our rehab facility is located on the Fulton Ranch, which was founded by Joe Kirk Fulton in the 1950’s.
I worked alongside my late husband since the 1980’s. His knowledge and expertise with breeding Quarter horses provided a strong foundation and increased my knowledge of horses tremendously.
Throughout the years I gained knowledge in many fields of the horse industry. This includes race, ranch versatility as well as performance horses. We have recently began to diversify our herd by adding new bloodlines to our breeding program. I am confident this will carry forward the success of Fulton Ranch and SERF.
I look forward to continuing to work with my husband Dr. Kurt W. Harris.
