Depending on your horse’s needs we will design a program that gives your horse the most benefit.

Post surgery fitness for example may include the water treadmill or the eurociser or both.

Performance fitness would more than likely include the water treadmill to strengthen muscles, increase stamina and strengthen lung and heart capacity.

Sale prep conditioning would include the eurociser, skin and coat conditioning, and intense grooming.

Almost all horses including Fitness and Conditioning receive 20 min per day on the Full Stall Vibration Plate.

We have numerous options when it comes to Fitness and Conditioning:

8 Horse Eurociser

Horse Walker

Water Treadmill

Round Pen

The water treadmill provides full-body exercise for the horse and offers 40% to 60% buoyancy, which helps horses strengthen and increase fitness without the constant concussion on bones, joints and tissues from ground work. The water helps horses regain range of motion and increase the length of their stride. The water resistance and lack of concussion allow horses to work the same muscle groups used in normal ground work.  Water is a great therapeutic or rehabilitative option to set the horse up for better healing in a controlled exercise program.

In the majority of cases the horse has a primary injury and then a secondary injury if the horse has been compensating and hurting for any period of time. The great thing about water is that it creates healing in the entire body. It relieves stress and strain on the areas of the body that have been over-used to protect the initial injury.

Water has a vast array of healing properties not only physically but mentally. Horses find the water relaxing and calming which also aids in the healing process.

The water treadmill can be used for injury recovery, fitness and conditioning or preventative therapy.
